That should be blue text on a white background.
If you use extensions (3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can interfere with loading content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions do not interfere with loading content. There is security software that can interfere with loading content, so check that as well.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: 3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Hello lbsbay, many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Click the menu button , choose History, and then "Clear Recent History...".
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the "Clear Now" button.
Further information can be found in the Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
I did follow those instructions but there is no change - by the way - the site (advanced search) does work on my ipad but not on my Hp envy laptop.
Do you mean that you do not see the text label?
Do all other labels show?
Can you attach a screenshot?
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem
- Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
- Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

ok that worked - thank you so much -- i disabled adblock plus and immediately it went to a white background and i could read it -- so i know that to view advanced search on architectural designs i have to disable it. And i did find the home i want to build on Riley's bay in Door County Wisconsin - this one - http://www.architecturaldesigns.com/house-plan-23502JD.asp --- and thanks again for your help.!
You're welcome.
You should always check what items are blocked if you use extensions that block content and you experience issues. Such extensions work with filter rules that can easily block wanted content.
