how do I forward contact information from my address book

I have a particular address listed in my address book that would be of interest to a friend. I can simply type everything in an email (phone number, email address, street address etc) but it would be quicker if I could simply send the details directly from my address book. How do I do that???

Vcards are designed for just this sort of task. Most address books know how to import them.

Natively, Thunderbird can import them (IIRC) but isn't good with sending them. You could try the MoreFunctionsForAddressBook addon which adds the ability to attach a Contact from your Address Book to an email message as a Vcard.

You could type MoreFunctionsForAddressBook into a Google search and find this. https://freeshell.de/~kaosmos/morecols-en.html
