The folder was on my desktop after firefox asked me to "refresh firefox" - it stalled my computer for almost 30 min with a message saying, "almost done". I closed the window and closed firefox. Then I restarted my computer and saw a folder on my desktop that said, "old firefox info" or something. I deleted that folder and attempted to reinstall firefox three times. It says I can't open because my profile is missing. How can I fix this? Thank you!

Yep, when the Refresh feature seems to be hung up and you close Firefox the Profile gets broken. Try creating a new Profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Then recover your data from the old Profile - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile - and from the "Old Firefox Data" that the Refresh placed on your desktop.

I'm working on a mac the first link takes me to instructions for a pc.

I don't have access to Firefox or my prolife folder or anything. I deleted the backup folder and I deleted the old Firefox application. How can I reinstall Firefox without needing access yo my profile info?
