How could i prevent tb from auto setting new accounts to send copies to the "Sent" folder without having to go to account settings & disabling them when a new account is added. is there an about:config option ?

Try the Copy Sent To Current addon.

The problem is that it adds a bottom bar to my reply window & the aim is to disable the auto selection of "place a copy in" while creating email accounts. that addon is a lot of useless codes added to thundirbird, even if i could remove the bottom bar ((

What does that preference do? and how does it interact with new accounts? It turns off ALL saving of sent mail on sending for all accounts and you asked for How could i prevent tb from auto setting new accounts to send copies to the "Sent" folder without having to go to account settings

So you sleep well well Your question was answered correctly. You have answered a different question.

yes it turns it off / (keeps it unselected on account creation) same expectation, same result. the config concerns "default mail identity"s creation, so now, it's unselected on account creation. i have answered my own question. & the remark's inconsistent & nonsensical, good nights.
