When I delete an email in thunderbird, I want it to also be deleted in host server (centurylink)(q.com). How do I set this option up? Thanks.

You'd need IMAP for this to work. What is your account type - POP or IMAP?

my q.com mail server is POP

With POP messages are removed from the server upon opening the message. If this isn't the case for you uncheck the option to leave messages on the server.
