Thunderbird suddenly stopped downloading mail from my POP server.
I looked at the articles about deleted emails resurrecting, but I don't appear to have that problem; I click the Get Messages button, TB connects to my POP server, and after about a minute the connection breaks with no mail downloaded.
I know the problem isn't with my ISP, because I have TB on another machine and it works fine.
I suspect that something may be corrupted somewhere, but I'm at a loss to determine exactly what.

I looked at that page and checked my configurations before posting a question here.
I'm concerned that if I copy my profile and move it over to my other machine the same problem may arise there.
Thunderbird updated on another machine in my house and the same problem has arisen; it's like Thunderbird isn't shaking hands with the POP server.
Is there any way to roll back to an earlier version?
There is more on that page than just checking configurations. Did you go through all the steps, including checking anti-virus software?
I did all those things before coming here with my question.

Great news!
I did a system restart and all is well. Messages are happily downloading.
I probably should've done one anyway, despite not getting a prompt from TB; sometimes ya just hafta flip it off and then flip it on again.
Thanks for your time. :-)
