Updated to Ver 45 and now I cannot open any emails. I downloaded and installed Ver. 45.1 but that didn't help.

Do I need to uninstall before installing? Will all of my emails be preserved if I uninstall Thunderbird?

Do I need to uninstall before installing? Will all of my emails be preserved if I uninstall Thunderbird?

Chosen solution

I continued to play around with the email messages and found that if I Double Click, I can see the message. When I closed and then opened TB, I could now Single Click on an email and see the message - the Double Click seems to have fixed the problem.

as install and uninstall touches none of your data or settings, it is unlikely to change anything at all in this case.

What do you mean by "I can not open any emails": Are they listed and when you click nothing happens (if so, right click the folder, select properties and then repair), or they are not listed or what really?

I can see all emails and continue to receive them. When I click on one, I get Loading... and nothing happens. When I right click, there is no Properties. There is a Copy/Message and when I do that and then Paste in Notebook, I can see the message.
