cannot add any extensions
firefox 47.0 not working properly. will not view outlook.com properly; only shows text, no graphics. when I try to install official add-ons, I get the message "this add-on is not compatible with your version of firefox because", but it does not give a reason. I have reinstalled firefox 3 times. using windows 10.
Chosen solution
cor-el,
YES, it's working. i have ESET security and i followed the very simple steps as outlined. i am now able to get outlook, com, the mozilla support pages, and have added a couple of extensions. it looks like the fix i needed!
so now my question is - why did it happen? all i did was refresh firefox when everything went screwy. maybe it was just something waiting to happen.
now i can enjoy the rest of my birthday day. thanks SOOOOOO much. ydaltak

You posted this with Google Chrome, so we can't check the user agent.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure such extensions do not block content. There is security software that can interfere with loading content, so check that as well.
I was using firefox this morning with no problems. the webpage dvd.netflix.com was not working properly. I could access the page in Microsoft edge. so I refreshed firefox, knowing I would lose all my settings and extensions. ever since then I have been having problems. I cannot get any graphics on the page outlook.com. I cannot add ANY extensions. I cannot change the default search program in firefox. all the firefox support pages come up with no graphics, only text. I have completely deleted firefox and reinstalled to no avail. all above problems still exist. everything was working fine until I refreshed firefox. am using windows 10 and firefox 47.0
There is security software like Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET that intercepts secure connections and sends their own certificate or that incorporates special web shielding features that can block content.
