I wasn't sure where to ask this question, but it seems to apply to all parts of the support.mozilla.org website (mozilla, thunderbird, etc). When I type a search term in the "search mozilla support" box near the top of the page and click, a list of relevant questions/answers comes up. Then I click on one of them. But then when I want to go back a page to the list of questions/answers so that I can look at another relevant question/answer from the original list, I click on the back arrow, but instead of taking me back just one page, which is what happens in other websites, clicking the back arrow takes me back to the very beginning and I have to start all over and retype my search query into the 'search mozilla support" again. What am I doing wrong? How do I go back just one page?

Chosen solution

It is just how the search works. There are a few things that I consider could and should have been improved, however it is likely we will be changing to alternative software soon. Lets hope the search facilities improve then.

There is also an advanced search as mentioned by the-edmeister

Try using the Advanced Search feature for this fora. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/search/advanced

But, if you "go back" to that page from a search results page it will reset anything that was selected or input.

Thanks for the information. At least I know now it's not that I was just doing it wrong!
