Could you post a screenshot of the offending screen? I know there has been a move to invite donations but even in my testing where I start without a profile I haven't seen this one yet.

This landing page you mention in no way prevents you from displaying email. The landing page also provides important links to support, so ordinarily it is not a good idea to remove it.
