My Thunderbird email is not working. There was a computer update day or two before and it was working yesterday but not today.

Thunderbird email was working yesterday, but there was an update a day or two before. I did notice that one of my email subscriptions was no longer allowing e to connect to an on line blog that worked before the update. I just tried emailing myself from a yahoo email address and it is not coming in through my Thunderbird email.
