How do I get menu button back onto bar?
Somewhere along the way, I suppose I removed the "stacked bars" open menu button from the toolbar. I'd like to put it back, but when I open the Customize panel, there is only one available in there, labeled "Firefox." When I put that one onto the toolbar and click it, it does nothing--does not open the menu.
What are the steps to get the true menu button back onto the toolbar?

When you're in "Customize", at the bottom in the right-corner of Additional Tools and Features use the Restore Defaults.
I had that "3-bar" button disappear once and using "Restore Defaults" was the only way I could get it back.

Oh, OK. But must ask..will doing that "erase" all the other extensions I have in the addons bar? In other words, how extensively does "restore defaults" take it back?
That will reset all customizations to default; although some toolbar buttons may reappear for add-ons that automatically "place" their toolbar button upon installation after you restart Firefox. For the others just pull them out of "Additional Tools and Features" and place them where you want them.
Yep, it may take a bit of time to get everything back to the way it was, but that is the only way I have found to restore a "missing" 3-bar button. I was really scratching my head when I did that; as to where it had disappeared to. But it's not like I have had to do that more than once; I learned pretty quickly after losing it the first time and didn't repeat that mistake. I just made other mistakes when customizing the UI ... ;>P
