The link changed on the server, and the server doesn't automatically redirect you to another link. I posted a new link in my earlier reply. Who knows how long that will work. You might want to right-click > Save Link As to store it locally in case it also goes away.

On August 1, 2016 we will simplify the Firefox Yahoo Toolbar and upgrade your browser to the New Tab by Yahoo extension experience. This extension provides a static version of Yahoo Toolbar and customizes your new tab page with Flickr photos and quick access to your top sites. Please note, you will no longer be able to modify your toolbar layout.
Yahoo appears to have a simplified version of their toolbar extension at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar-and-new-tab/ and their https://toolbar.yahoo.com/ link leads to a more simple page.
Mozilla does not make or maintain any of the Yahoo extensions made by Yahoo. There has not been any Firefox updates since the 47.0.1 to affect any extensions and next update will be Firefox 48.0 tomorrow.

Disclaimer: I have no idea whether the following will allow customization. If you test it, please report back.
I found a link to the last normal Yahoo toolbar if you want to try reinstalling that version:
I don't know whether it will help, but you can turn off updating for the toolbar on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Find Yahoo toolbar on the right side and click the tiny More link under the title, then on that page, find the row for Automatic Updates and set it to Off.
If you find that you ALSO have that other Yahoo extension, you might need to disable it to avoid a conflict.
Please post back with your experiences -- many other Yahoo users have the same concern, even if they do not RANT IN ALL CAPS LIKE A MADMAN in their posts.
Why did Mozilla/Firefox delete my bookmark that had the yahoo toolbar in it??
Hi Hombart, I don't understand what you mean about a bookmark having a toolbar in it. Bookmarks are links to websites. Firefox has an internal bookmark system -- links stored by Firefox on your computer -- that you can access from Firefox's Bookmarks Toolbar or its Bookmarks Menu. The old Yahoo toolbar had a separate bookmark system -- links stored by Yahoo on their servers -- that you could access using a button on the Yahoo Toolbar. These are totally different.
At this point, Yahoo's idea is that you will do one of these:
- use your My Yahoo page to access your Yahoo bookmarks, instead of using a toolbar, or
- export your Yahoo bookmarks to a file, and import them into your favorite browser(s) (https://us.data.toolbar.yahoo.com/v1/.../tools)
The third possibility is you can roll back your toolbar. I have an updated set of steps since August 1st:
Unofficial Roll Back Procedure
Here's how I suggest going about it:
(1) Remove the new toolbar on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right side find and remove the Yahoo extensions. These may include:
- Yahoo! Toolbar and New Tab 5.0.2 -- version numbers visible when you click the More link below the extension's title
- Search and New Tab by Yahoo 1.0.6
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled/removed extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
(2) Install version 3.2.18.20160725095733 -- the July 26th version -- of the toolbar from the following link -- I regret that I don't have a trustworthy intermediate page:
Before restarting Firefox, go back to the Add-ons page, click the More link under the Yahoo Toolbar extension, and turn off automatic updating. (In case you closed the page...)
Then you can use the restart link for the toolbar to complete the installation.
Does the old toolbar work after that?
I had saved the link to the Yahoo toolbar to my bookmarks . This way when the Yahoo toolbar disappeared from Yahoo page all I had to do is click on the link in my bookmarks and it was back. This AM when I tried to do that the bookmark link no longer works. Why ?

Can I have the link to the toolbar again. Thanks
Its in this reply here on the forum: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1133165#answer-907014
When I click on the link from before I get 404 not Found.
That's the only link I had left, sorry.
Can you try sending it again as maybe that will work
Hi Hombart, I'm not sending you things, I'm posting here on the forum and the forum is sending you a notification of what I posted here.
Can you post it here please.
Sorry Hombart, If a link no longer works posting it a second time does not make it work. Unfortunately you have to cope with the fact that Yahoo no longer supports the toolbar they provided.
Your best course of action now is to export your Yahoo bookmarks and then impost them in to Firefox or some other browser. See
( https://downloads.yahoo.com/faqfirefoxtoolbar }
.... Where can I see my bookmarks on Yahoo? Sign in to My Yahoo. Click on the "Add Content" button and add the "Bookmarks" module to your page to see your links.
How do I export my bookmarks to another browser?
You can export your bookmarks here. https://us.data.toolbar.yahoo.com/v1/bm/tools?.intl=us
That is a link jscher2000 has already posted for you to use. Then see

Yahoo (or technically new owner Verizon) has removed a number of previous versions of the Yahoo toolbar from addons.mozilla.org as you can see on https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar-and-new-tab/versions/
I guess they really want people to use the current version.
