I know I could sync all of my bookmarks several ways. But how do I copy only one bookmarks folder from one computer to another (Firefox to Firefox)? Thanks.

Well, apparently you can't just copy a profile to the profiles folder via Windows explorer, so I created a new profile and copied what I needed into it. That let me transfer a profile with and edited bookmarks folder to where I wanted it. The bottom line is that I was able to do what I wanted via profiles. It took some fancy footwork, but I did accomplish it.

Now, if only Firefox or Xmarks would allow individual folder transfer!

Thanks for your suggestions, FredMcD.

Bookmarks and History are kept in the same Firefox profile folder.

To open the Bookmarks Manager, press the Alt or F10 key bring up the tool bar, and select Bookmarks. Hot key is <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> B.

Once the window is open, at the top of the page, press the button labeled Import and Backup. Select Export Bookmarks To HTML, and follow the prompts and save it to a HTML file. Copy the file to another computer. Repeat the instructions above, BUT select Import Bookmarks From HTML,

Thanks, FredMcD, but that lets me copy all my bookmarks. I want to copy only one bookmarks folder. How do I do that?

Open the HTML file in a Word type program. You can then remove what you don't want. Bookmark folders should be all together.

OK. Thanks. I'll give this a try.

I tried your suggestion, FredMcD. It worked, but it added bookmarks--it didn't replace them as I had wanted.

Nevertheless, I'm trying to copy certain bookmark folders from profile to profile. I copied my laptop's profile and placed it in my desktop's profiles directory so that I could switch between profiles with the -P feature. But profile manager doesn't show that the laptop's profile is there. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. If you want, you can give a name to each profile.
