why thunderbird does not recognize wavecable emails after wavecable accomplished update to server?
I currently have wave broadband as my internet provider. Up until yesterday my Thunderbird e-mail for wavecable (edthurman@wavecable.com) was working fine. Wave performed an update to the server yesterday and now I can no longer gain access to my wavecable e-mail account. I talked with wave technicians today and they said that I would need to contact Thunderbird as they cannot trouble your system. Could this update have caused any of my settings to change so that it will no longer allow me to gain access? The message that I get in both my account and my wife's account on our laptop with windows 10 is as follows:
Add Security Exception You are about to override how Thunderbird identifies this site. Legitimate banks, stores, and other public sites will not ask you to do this.
Server Location: Pop3.wavecable.com:110 Get Certification
Certificate Status This site attempts to identify itself with invalid information.
Wrong Site Certificate belongs to a different site, which could indicate an identity theft.
Permanently store this exception.

Is there something that I need to change in my settings to allow me to gain access to my e-mails. Al of our AOL accounts are working fine at this time, it is just wavecable that is not. Wavecable sent us an e-mail through wavecable.com and we received and they suggested contacting. What is it that I need to do or change?

When I look at the wave cable web site. They nominate the server name as mail.wavecable.com
So my guess is wave cable have changed the name of the server you are supposed to connect to and you have no made that change in Thunderbird.
Right click the account in the folder pane, select settings. In sever settings for the account make sure the serer name is mail.wavecable.com and save the changes
