My folders are missing

I recently discovered in "Accounts" that I can specify a different directory for my e-mail. The problem with that was the new directory had no folders in it. So I changed back to what I thought was the old directory. I had not recorded it, but it seemed to me it was C:/users/daveh_000/AppData/Roaming. Apparently not. So I tried C:/users/daveh_000/AppData/Local.

Neither of these give my my folders (and messages contained therein).

So where are my messages?

I had this problem already six months ago when I had all my messages captured under my e-mail address instead of "local". I never did find those. So, what is here represents six months of work. It's important.

OK. I had to go down through Mail/local folders. That got it! Thanks!

Sorry Dave, wrong thread.

It is the part after the C:/users/daveh_000/AppData/Roaming.that is important.

go to the troubleshooting information on the help menu and click show profile.

I assume your account was POP so open the mail folder. now look through the sub folders for your data. note the location and correct it.
