Need some help accessing clearly present email in Thunderbird's Mail Folder.

In the Mail and Newsgroup window all of my folders appear and in the Profile/Mail folder shows content in the folders, but the folder windows are empty when viewed in the Mail and Newsgroup window.

I can import the folders and messages into Apple's Mail application where they can be read normally, but the same data is not visible in Thunderbird. Also, the open folders in Mail and Newsgroup window show alternating translucent red and white bars instead of listing the individual message titles.

How can I restore full functionality to Thunderbird? Is there a Mozilla utility to rebuild the mail data base or reconstruct the folder/ message data?

All advice is welcome, thank you!

You don't by any chance have View/Threads set to Unread, do you? If so, set it to All.

If the problem is due to a corrupted database, right-click a folder, Properties, Repair Folder, and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you. I had tried to repair the folders before but nothing happened. I may have accidentally toggled the view button, but anyway, following your advice I am now able to correct the problem. Thank you!
