Boring! I send a lot of animated emails and TB doesn't seem to handle them.

Okay, my friends and I send a lot of jokes and animated gifs/sound. As far as I can see, TB can't do that so they show in the email. Guess I'll stick with Windows Live Mail.

Thunderbird does not have built into it to add these animations/gifs.

You can add images, including gifs to your e-mail that exist on your computer, or on the Internet from the Write window by clicking on the menu. Thunderbird Write menu: Insert: Image (If you cannot see the Thunderbird menu, press the Alt key or F10 key on your keyboard to show the menu) In the window that comes up, you can look for a file that you have on your computer, or you can type in the URL for an image file that is on the Internet.

There are probably add-ons for Thunderbird which will also help with this. I've seen an add-on for inserting lots of emojis.

Go to: Thunderbird menu: Tools: Add-ons: Get Add-ons On the bottom right side of the window, click "Browse all add-ons". Then look around the categories or use the search to find add-ons you might want.

It sounds like you are not asking for help.

Come back when one of those fun animations leaves you a virus. There is a reason Thunderbird does not do that annoying junk.

Hi Bruce.... I guess you are right... I'm just venting, unless you can tell me I am wrong and that TB can do animation. Airmail, We've been sending animations for years and no problems. Of course, we always use the same ones that we know are safe. And besides, Windows Defender will catch any virus.. well, some, I hope. Thanks for the replies. P.S. This gopher is much funnier when you hear the laughter... This can be closed....
