I am using windows 7 home premium. At one time I got the task bars somewhat as shown below

File Edit Insert Format Options Tools Help (the first task bar) Send Spelling Attach Security Save (second task bar was something like this)

Now I do not get either one of these task bars. I have tried every setting I can find within Thunderbird and cannot find out how to get these two task bars back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using a ASUS Essentio series desktop. I believe I have the latest download of Thunderbird.

Chosen solution

Those would be toolbars. The task bar is a Wiindows item at the bottom of your Windows screen.

Hidden Menu Bars, File-Edit-View etc, can be revealed by pressing the alt key. Once the Menu Bar appears select View-Toolbars and turn the missing toolbars back on.

The alt key or the F10 button have revealed hidden menu bars since the beginning of Windows. They are good shortcuts to learn since the new trend in software is to hide the Menu Bar.
