Make "GoogleYear" the default search engine?

The above link describes how to make Chrome search Google by default for ONLY THE LAST YEAR. In today's age, older information is usually irrelevant.

This link does the trick: https://www.google.com/search?tbs=qdr:y&q=%s, but I'm hoping to simply make it do this by default (from the Awesome Bar).

Hi   !
If you want Google to be your default search engine, you can do that as follows  : 3-bar menu => Options => Search Under   'Default Search Engine'   you can set Google to be your default search engine.
