No matter how many times I switch my homepage to google.be, everytime I close and reopen the browser, my homepage has switched back to the firefox default search page. I am not having problems with any of the other settings... I've looked at the page dealing with settings that don't save but did not see how to resolve this issue thank you in advance

Hi   !
Your system details show that you have installed the add-on called   'SearchReset',   which has been marked as experimental by it's developers. Would you check it's settings ,   please   ? Or :   disable it and see if that will make a difference.

Thank you, that was indeed the problem. The add-on must have been installed along with another because I had no memory of having installed (i read its description and see no reason to have installed it myself). It's purpose was indeed, amidst others, to reset homepage to default all the time. Thanks again
