I can't log into my existing Thunderbird account and I need to in order to connect it to a different email account/host
Hello, I am not able to log in to my Thunderbird account. None of my passwords work, and there is no option to change the password to get into the account. Right now, my Thunderbird email is connected to my verizon.net email account. I need to disconnect the two, as Verizon is getting out of the email business. I have another server that I would like to connect to my Thunderbird account, but I have been unable to log in due to the password issue. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

There is no such thing as a Thunderbird account so you do not log into Thunderbird. You log into your email account using a Thunderbird software. Last I heard Version is just shifting their email operations to AOL. Here is an article about the change. https://help.aol.com/articles/verizon-move-to-aol-mail-faq Contact Verizon or AOL for support making the transition.
FYI: You do not need to log into anything to add a new/additional account to Thunderbird. From the Menu Bar select File-New-Existing Mail Account
No Menu Bar showing? Press the alt key.
Thank you for your quick reply. I don't really know the correct terminology. The email account attached to Thunderbird has been Verizon, but I want to switch it to a different provider, Bluehost. I want to discontinue my Verizon email entirely. However, the issue is that whenever I try to use Thunderbird, I get a pop up box that says 'can't connect to my account and then it says 'enter password for user 'domenica@domenicacooks.com" Every password I have tried from my Verizon to my Bluehost to my Apple passwords have failed to work. Maybe this is an Apple issue? Thanks again for your help. Here's a screenshot:
