Reinstalled thunderbird after a problem and now I can not create my email accounts anymore. Get message 'incoming server already exists', but does not exist. I found some solutions for windows, but how to fix this on a apple mac ? Help?

Get message 'incoming server already exists'

You get the message when you try to set up a POP account in Thunderbird, when a POP account already exists that is using the same server.

You say you reinstalled Thunderbird because of a problem. Are you aware of the Thunderbird Profile?

Thunderbird stores all personal data such as messages, address books, calendars and configuration settings in a hard drive folder called the Profile. This folder is separate from the installation of Thunderbird. When Thunderbird is uninstalled, it will leave behind your Thunderbird Profile folder, which will be found and used again when you install Thunderbird again.

From the menu click on Preferences → Account Settings

Do you see any accounts on the left side other than "Local Folders"? You probably do, because you are getting that 'incoming server already exists' error when creating a new account.
