Note that Firefox doesn't close currently open tabs and when you click the Home button then all pages set as multiple home page are opened in tabs. You will have to close currently open tabs (right-click: Close Tabs to the Right).

Hi, Firefox is able to open multiple home pages with the URLs separated by a 'pipe' (|), so please see - How to set the home page, and in 'Home Page,' make sure that in addition to your home page URL, there isn't anything else - the Options URL is about:preferences, so if it's there, just delete it. You can instead, click on Restore to Default.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

I have a similar problem, each time I open a page, it opens an 'options' tab, but when I go back to the home page, it leaves the options tab open, so I end up with multiple options tabs.
