Mozilla Firefox Critical ERROR Request ID & Password
I have repeatedly received a screen that ask for a is and password and/or call a support number. I am concerned this is not an message from Modzilla and may be some scam.

If you get a pop-up message asking to update Firefox or plugins or scanning for malware then such a message is likely a scam and you should NEVER respond to such an alert to avoid getting infected with malware.
- only update Firefox via "Help -> About" or by downloading and installing Firefox from the Mozilla server and never via a pop-up or link on a web page.
- plugins should only be updated via the plugin itself or by visiting the home page of the plugin.

This was very helpful. I have never attempted to install one of these pop-ups, but when this one happens I cannot close either the current tab or Firefox. I have to go to Windows task manager to delete Firefox. I just added a pop-up blocker, hope this will help. Thanks for helping out.

I wish it were possible just to block pop-ups at selected sites, AOT specifying sites where they should not be blocked. The one at which I've consistently seen this pop-up is VVNMusic.com, also known as Vintage Vinyl News, where after like a minute of having been there...boom! there it is. And just like many others, only FF is impacted. Can someone from MOZ contact rwink@vvnmusic.com, and try to get to the bottom of why his site still suffers this issue?
