How can I synchonise my Thunderbird e-mails across computers?

I use a Windows 7 PC and a Linux (Ubuntu) laptop. I have several e-mail addresses on both computers. Is it possible to synchronise the two computers so that e-mails on either one will appear on both of them?

I forgot to say I am using Thunderbird on both computers.

You'd need to set up your accounts as IMAP on both computers. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/imap-synchronization
