I've recently moved back to Firefox after using Chrome for many months but I'm unable to get Firefox to stay signed in.

I sign in and then it will sign out again of its own accord. I've tried logging in again, Deleting my account and creating a new one.

I'm using Fedora 26 Linux, KDE Desktop AMD64 Firefox version 55.0.2

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.
