Hello Firefox Team, After installing of Firefox for Android (55.0.2) on a fresh unused smartphone (Xiaomi Redmi 4x, Android 6.0.1), it is not possible to sync passwords. Everything other is synced, tabs, history, bookmarks, but logins not. There are no logins on about:logins page. I tried to sync it with master password and without it, no luck. Tried to delete Firefox Sync account, make new account, install the fresh app and sync again, the same problem. I also tried to sync the account from android settings menu, it doesn't help as well. Could you please help me, what am I doing wrong? How to solve this problem? Thank you! Evgeniy

Can you try updating to the latest version and see if that helps you in any way?

I think I have the latest version already. The latest android version for 7th September 2017 is 55.0.2, isn't it?

I recently updated the Firefox to version 56.0 (updated on Sep 28, 2017). The passwords are still not syncing.

Tried the latest update, still doesn't work. Doesn't work on Firefox 57 beta for Android as well.

Hi Josh, do you know if this bug will be fixed in 57th version? Maybe you know, if there any known bug described in bug tracker?

I still cannot sync logins on Firefox for Android. Version 57 doesn't sync logins as well! I installed the Firefox on completely clean device, freshly reset before. Everything is syncing, except logins!

Can anyone help?

HI, I'm using OnePlus 5 with Android 8.0. I've tried this with Android 7.1.1 as well but the same issue persists.

Recently I've got an update from MIUI 8 to MIUI 9 (Android 7.2.1), but the problem still remains, even with Firefox 57.

Dear Firefox team, this is the only issue that stops me from using my favourite web browser.

Latest report:

I have Firefox 57.0.3 for desktop and Firefox 57.0.1 for Android now. I erased the sync data completely and deleted the sync account. Then, I created a new account with a different e-mail address. Tried to save first password on Android device, and after that it successfully appeared in Firefox desktop version. So the sync is working again.

Possible solution:

  1. remove an old sync account here: accounts.firefox.com;
  2. remove all Firefoxes from all devices, as well as delete the user data folders;
  3. reinstall Firefox completely fresh and new everywhere you need;
  4. create a new sync account with any different e-mail address.

Extra steps:

  1. save the first password in Firefox for Android;
  2. tap sync in Firefox settings;
  3. click sync in Firefox for desktop;
  4. check if password is synced.

Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks!
