I created a new website (petportratisbyrjsilletti.com) mozilla has highlighted some of the copy in blue with an underline. When clicked on these highlighted words take people to ads. I want to get rid of this feature. How do I do it. Other browsers don't show these words highlighted . Thank you, Bob

Firefox can’t find the server at www.petportratisbyrjsilletti.com.

That sounds like an add-on.

I'm not seeing anything unusual on your website

Can you attach a screenshot like requested above?

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
