If all my settings are correct according to att, would it help Thunderbird to id their new settings if I deleted my att account and reinstalled it?
Haven't been able to download my sbcglobal e-mail since 52.3 came into my life a week ago. No antivirus block. Corrected server settings. No mail. Long att.net phone call. They changed from Yahoo to Horizon(?) a few months ago--probably when I had to make a new pass word. Att guys checked and everything is correct on their side and in my settings. The only problem I can figure out is that the pass word may still be one from several months ago, that thunderbird just kept downloading from my old settings and password until 52.3 arrived. Does this sound plausible? What do I do to check that password? If I delete my current att account and set up a new one in order to get to that pass word, does anything happen to the files of my life and work stored on thunderbird? Desperate.

Helpful in that it showed that the current pass word is there for this particular account but only for SMTP. That means I still have a problem.
I think I can figure out the incoming equivalent but how do I enter it? I could only adjust the password section, not the new att address which is on my account settings but not on the "saved" password.
Thanks for any advice. I'm not a computer maven but I can follow directions.
And how did my post get "problem solved" on it. I didn't check that.

You can inspect, edit or remove stored email passwords.
