Hello, can you tape about:crashes in your URL bar and us the last ID from the list you get?

The Refresh feature purposely carries forward user data such as bookmarks, passwords, and the like. BUT make sure that you let the Refresh process run its course to completion. The process took about 5 minutes to completion when I used it, and I only had 1700 bookmarks in that Profile, so the time to completion may be more than that for you.

There is no progress indicator like with large file downloads, so If you get impatient and close Firefox before the Refresh process is complete - you WILL lose your data, all of it. I tested early closure with a 'throw away' Profile specifically because so many users awhile ago did say that they lost their user data when using the Refresh feature - and as it turned out that was due to their having closed Firefox (of killed the process in the Task Manager) thinking that the Refresh process was 'hung up' and they got tired of waiting.

IMO, a progress indicator is needed (especially with as long as it took for my 3 Refresh experiments to run to completion) - but every Bug report that I ever filed to "enhance" Firefox was shut down as not needed, so I won't waste my time trying to make Mozilla "see the light" with a request like this.

There are other things that need attention.

The System Details list next to the question shows you have multiple Flash plugins.

  • Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0
  • Shockwave Flash 26.0 r0

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.
