Spell check default language per account

I am using Thunderbird to write emails in two languages. I have setup spell checking for both languages and am able to select a default language for spell checking via Preferences->Composition->Spelling->Language and I am able to switch languages on the fly when composing emails through the Spelling-Option in the Composition Toolbar.

I would really wish to be able to set a default language per account. An example: For my work-account I mainly compose my emails in English and for my personal-account I mainly compose my emails in German. This would save me so many clicks in the composition toolbar where I am constantly switching languages.

What do you guys think? Perhaps this can be achieved through a plugin? I am a big fan of Thunderbird and have been using it ever since burying Eudora.

This add-on will probably achieve the same result after you use it for a while:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/automatic-dictionary-switching/

I'm not aware of any way to set the dictionary per account.

Thanks @sfhowes, the add-on is pretty useful.

Setting a default language per account would nonetheless be a great additional feature IMHO, in case any Thinderbird developers are reading this ;-)
