In Firefox only, not in Windows in general, the browser randomly changes some settings. Shift +Ctrl bring it back

It's a really annoying inconvenience. It has been happening for few months now. Randomly, Firefox changes something and I need your help to stop or fix it. Some keys act like hotkeys (I think, don't use hotkeys), but a singe key press opens a new tab, or opens a download folder, each letter does something different, but I'm not pressing any other buttons together. Then a touchpad (usually in Youtube), opens a video in a new tab instead in current tab, that's how I usually notice Firefox changed it. Pressing shift+ctrl reverses it back to normal, but then, it can happen again few more times throughout use time.

The Windows hot keys are disabled.

Please consider turning on send info to Mozilla before posting a question. This helps us help you.

Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved.

Reinstall Current Release Firefox 56.0.2 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Alternatively you can get the new Firefox Version 57 from here : https://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Mozilla-Firefox-for-Windows/1032985422/1 Note it will be on Mozilla's pages tomorrow or through update. But since having this issue and having to uninstall why not put 57 straight in. Note : Legacy Extensions will be disabled and or removed.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
