How to fix a hang without restarting
As in previous post, can't post troubleshooting info as Firefox has been hanging for a quarter of an hour due to the waste of space "update". However, this question is not about the browser version. This is about the email I have been composing to friends for more than an hour. The email which should theoretically have been saved as a draft at regular intervals in Hotmail, because that's what Hotmail is supposed to do, but when I tried to continue writing it, I found only one and a half paragraphs had actually been saved, leaving me close to tears because it will all be lost if I just shut Firefox down.
As previously discussed, I can't do a blind thing in Firefox itself right now. However, Task Manager in detailed mode is coming up with 7 entries for Firefox. If I get rid of a few of these, will it be possible to bring Firefox back from hanging, at least long enough to copy/paste the email into Notepad or Word?

Hi there!
Sorry to hear you're running into issues using Firefox.
After you stop all the running Firefox processes in the Task Manager, can you try starting Firefox in Safe Mode? You can read about it here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
This should make it possible for you to check what the source of your trouble is - just follow the troubleshooting steps on the help page.
I hope this helps.
