changed to the new firefox version many of bookmarks dissapeared

I have installed the new version of mozilla and most of my bookmarks disappeared and i really need them how do i get them back? and if i cannot them back can i go to the old version and get them? i went to all bookmarks, restore to yesterday it said i had 240 items i press restore but even then i doesn't show all the bookmars i used to have... this is work related so i am really desperate, i am an old lady that don't know much about computers also... Hope you guys can help thanks Yoel

I doubt if the bookmarks are missing, the new "Library" toolbar button shows a truncated version of your bookmarks, which is easily corrected.

Here's the relevant instructions from the linked support thread.

  • Click on the 57 library icon library icon and go to bookmarks > bookmarking tools > add bookmarks menu to the toolbar.
  • Then you click the Bookmark Menu icon (star on tray) icon that's newly appearing on the toolbar, you'll get to the same bookmarks menu like in earlier versions...
