The containers are enabled in Firefox Nightly and I am able to use them (open new link in chosen container). But!

I am unable to add icon in toolbar using "Customize" right click. The icon is not available in the offered icons.

Value 2 means that you can hold down the left mouse button on the new tab plus button on the Tab bar to get the container menu opening.

You can check this pref on the about:config page for the behavior when when you click the new tab + button:

  • privacy.userContext.longPressBehavior

0 disables long press; 1 when clicked, the menu is shown; 2 the menu is shown after X milliseconds

  • privacy.userContext.enabled = true

This feature won't work in a Private Browsing mode window.

Hello cor-el, thank you for your time. cor-el said

My current settings:

privacy.userContext.longPressBehavior = 2 privacy.userContext.enabled = true

and I am actually not sure, this relates to my problem, the Open Link in the New Container button on right-click works.

Thank you. Sorry I did not understood first time. This works and that means that the icon for containers is not needed.
