Firefox crashes

more options

I have 2 separate computers running windows vista. Both have basically all the same software installed. Both have the latest version of Firefox installed. On one computer Firefox is constantly crashing. Sometimes it will crash 3 times in a matter of 30 minutes. I really do not know how to read the crash reports and I need help to find out why it is crashing. If I disable all addons just the tab I am viewing crashes.

I hope you mean Firefox ESR.

On the bad computer;

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>.

Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

OK. Firefox does crash in safe mode. Here is the crash report. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-7da2f736-ee0f-4382-998d-dee180171224

I updated the video card and the newest version of Malwarebytes was installed last week. I did the 3 things above and shortly afterward it crashed. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-04e7e744-0e56-4ef2-b2a6-2da490171225

I mentioned Update Video Card Drivers for a reason as your card is from 2006, last recommended drivers were from 2014 and your running 2016 drivers on it. Nothing can be done for you at this time. Video Card Drivers are essential for all web sites and HTML5 Video and sound.

When have dealt will all this then do come back

So in other words you are telling me to get new video cards and then you will help me.

more options

No. Do you see any where I mention Get. I suggest a new one. Also never said get one and then will help. Anger...or something, as did not read that right at all.

Uninstall and reinstall (as mentioned) the drivers this will fix some issues. Make sure not disabling things the card can do.

Yes age of card is a factor, But what I would have said is never mind getting a new card do to age of whole system. Should start looking forward to that time, sooner than later.

Only trying to make aware and is why I posted all the errors. If I had not and just said you have a few errors. Would not do anything to correct the issue.

So you can uninstall and reinstall your drivers. NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

the crash report doesn't contain any hints that would especially point towards involvement of your graphics card. a fair share of jit crashes are due to bad memory, so on an older device you might want to check the integrity of your ram with a tool like www.memtest.org
