Unprompted Mozilla upgrade delted all Profiles. I need ALL Profiles back but only see one.....and it's empty.
Firefox updated and lost all my data in all my Profiles. That's bullshit. Now, I'm in a hurry and can't restore. I've looked for the Profiles. I see one other than default and it's empty. The other three profiles are gone. I need this restored 100%. I can't believe Firefox FORCES an update without notice. Especially if there is a risk of losing data. Read the forums. This is not a new problem. Mozilla had plenty of time to address it. Prompt somebody to run MozBackup or something before screwing with their system. A total waste of my time. Lastly, Firefox is freezing my system two where I have to power off to free my computer. That was bad enough. Now Mozilla lost all my info. No wonder people use Chorme! Need it fixed, pronto!!

Hi 510man, sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the latest update. Did you check the following folder for profile folders that Firefox's profile manager may not see:
C:\Users\your-username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
To enable browsing into AppData, you normally need to set Windows to show hidden files: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
Anything there in addition to your new (not so useful) profile?

Maybe. However, Mozilla forced the update. I didn't ask for it or approve it. Hence, Mozilla created the problem.

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I did a Windows System Restore back to Jan 1 and it fixed the problem. I then backed up my Profiles with MozBackup and then did the upgrade.
As Murphy's Law of SW upgrades would have it, I didn't need the Profile backups since I had them ready. Firefox updated and the Profile info was maintained this time. Net, I'm fixed now but wasted quite a bit of time I didn't have. Thanks again for the help.
