I have mistakenly deleted my password for imap in Thunderbird Tools. How can I restore it?

more options

After having changed my password for my gmail account, I found that it works properly from under Google Chrome. But I used to work in Thunderbird. I tried to enter the same new password in the Thunderbird Tools (through Security button). Unfortunately, I have mistakenly deleted there the line "imap://imap.gmail.com(imap://imap.gmail.com)". As a result, there remains only one line in the table: "smtp://smtp.gmail.com(smtp://smtp.gmail.com)". My question is: How can I RESTORE the deleted line? How can I correct my mistake? How can I continue my work in Thunderbird with the same account? - Please HELP. Many thanks for your kind help!!

If you removed the entire line then nothing is stored in Thunderbird to change. The next time your providers server asks for a password since nothing is saved you will get a dialog box asking for a password. Fill in the password and check the box to use password manager.

Most people lately having issues with Gmail passwords that work on the web but not in their email client need to turn on the option to allow less secure apps in their Gmail account. Less secure is a Google opinion not shared by most but if you want to use their email you have to play heir games.
