Invalid password in client but it works in web mail same password
I am using Thunderbird in my office. I want to install it on my home computer. I did so and it found my office users credentials. However, when I tried to run setup and I received an error message stating that my password was invalid. I then set up Thunderbird as web mail and it worked with the same logon credentials.
My instructions were to download Thunderbird then go to Account Settings and select Microsoft Exchange Server but it doesn't exist not even in add additional settings. It recognized the account but not the password.

Thunderbird is a standards-compliant email client. MS Exchange Sever is a proprietary system which expects and requires you to use an MS email client. My instructions were to download Thunderbird then go to Account Settings and select Microsoft Exchange Server but it doesn't exist not even in add additional settings. If you want to use Thunderbird with MS Exchange, you'll need to use an add-on. Possible tools are Exquilla, DavMail, Provider for Microsoft Exchange and one I tried at work (whose name escapes me right now) which provides access to calendars etc.
