Typical Thunderbird address like johnmiller@thunderbird.com or johnmiller@mozilla.com?
26 MAR 2018
Question 1: What is a typical Thunderbird address? Like johnmiller@thunderbird.com? Like johnmiller@mozilla.com? Like johnmiller@comcast.net?
Question 2: My email is with windows live mail and when I switched email years ago I was able to retain my email address and since then I am using: johnmiller@comcast.net. If I switch to the Thunderbird email system, could I still receive my old comcast.net emails (I guess not!) ?
Thank you,
Bernd

There are no "Thunderbird accounts" and so no thunderbird or mozilla addresses. If you have ever seen a mozilla.org address, it was almost certainly a Mozilla employee using it.
Thunderbird is an email client and is used to work with email hosted by any regular email service, such as that offered by Comcast.
On my Thunderbird, I have accounts with outlook, gmx, AOL, Gmail, btinternet.com and my web host.
