Hi i have windows 7 and firefox newest 59.0.2. I have a huge issue with it using too much memory. I have 2 computers and same issue on both of them. I usually have 3 windows open with multiple tabs in each. Maybe 10 tabs in each. Sometimes it gets over 2million k of memory on one session and combined its close to 4million! I really dont have anything crazy running. I am not sure what is causing all this usage. ON my other computer i could have only one session open with one or two tabs and it gets over 1 million! Ill have like ebay and paypal open and thats it and boom its hogging all the memory. I usually have to kill it in task manager then its ok for a little but right back up there shortly after. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi please Copy/Paste about:preferences#privacy to the Address Bar then Enter and go down to Permissions and make sure there is a Check Mark in Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.

Then Up to General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please. Note : Hardware Acceleration is for Video Card, Monitor to see if remain off or to turn back on.

Please install https://www.hitmanpro.com as 1x only use and run a scan in case you have something you should not..

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Please go to 3 Bar Menu then Options then Privacy & Security and down the list till find Permissions. The last entry under Permissions is to make sure there is a Check Mark In the Box for Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.
