O/S Win 10 version 1709

recently FF60.0.2 wont open properly. If I put computer or FF into safe mode it does. With FF in safe mode seems to work ok- managed to post this for example whilst FF in safe mode

I uninstalled rebooted then reinstalled FF - no joy Also refreshed FF - still no joy - incidentally post refresh did not add any add-ons On clicking icon after a delay FF opens but in top get "not repsonding " message and after a period of time Win asks if should wait or close Troubleshhoting data enclosed.

Thanks in advance for help

FredMcD - you were on the right track - I remembered I had issues in the past with KIS & FF - I've uninstalled & changed to Bitdefender - no issues since!

Thanks again

Did you also delete the Mozilla folder when after you uninstalled FF before reinstalling?

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

Thanks guys

West End - yes I did delete the Mozilla folder

FredMcD - no joy - have Kaspersky Internet Security - turned off the Application Network Rules. Sometimes FF opened properly & connected to home page - sometimes got (Not Responding)

What I do notice is that when it does not connect properly the first thing I notice is the home page does not come up - don't know if that helps
