I'm getting the message "Secure Connection Failed

The connection to www.amazon.com was interrupted while the page was loading.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."

The Firefox help page says that that page should offer me the "go back" option and an "advanced" option that will allow me to bypass this block. It offers neither one. Another help page offers something about a shield icon, which I can't see anywhere on the page.

We have been getting reports that some protection programs are causing these issues. As a test, disable those programs.

I'm sorry, I forgot the question. Can Firefox be correct that the entire amazon.com has an invalid certificate and that's why it's blocking the page? What do I do about it in either case, especially when the help pages don't match the events "on the ground"?

Yes, it turned out that my VPN is undergoing a massive DDoS attack, which prevented the connection.

Thank you.
