why do I have to run refresh firefox every day

Every Day I run firefox. If I stop using it for about 30 minutes I keep getting "not responding" or slow running apps to just sitting doing nothing, I have tried to restart the browser and/or restart the entire system to have the same problems. The only recourse is to run refresh fire fox.

What was the previous version of FF before the latest update and how did you update?

I don't know the last version. I am running 61.0 and I updated when I got the message that a new version was available.
