I changed computers, Thunderbird no longer contains the contents of my address book. It is empty.

All of my folders and messages survived the migration. My address book is gone. Nothing in it--no personal addresses, no groups, no collected addresses--except what I just added manually to send an email. And it isn't collecting addresses either. I am actually considering copying my address book from the old computer and pasting it onto a document to email to myself, I don't have time for this. Should I uninstall and reinstall an older version of Thunderbird, then download updates to the older version? Is this even a remotely possible solution? Very frustrated. Feeling like Mozilla is betraying me...

Did you move you addressbook to the new computer. If not, that is your job not Thunderbird's. This thread has instructions. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1046973
