ADDRESS BOOK has entries in a list called "Personal Address Book" and another one called "Mac OS X Address Book". How do I copy or export all of the entries from the Mac OS X Address Book to the Personal Address Book? I want to do this because when trying to fill the TO section on a new message items listed in the Mac OS X Address Book will not appear, but those in the the Personal Address Book will be entered automatically. Thank you.

In Thunderbird File -> Use Mac OS X Address Book This will display the MAC address book, which you may already have done.

Whilst I do not not use a MAC, I believe there is a security setting on OSX that has to be set to allow the address book to be used. Please check this as it may be why you are not able to use it. System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy

You'll see a few Apps and System Functions where you can allow other apps to access them.

Toad-Hall, thanks so much for your prompt response. I looked in my MAC's PRIVACY settings. For CONTACTS, I checked "allow the apps below to access your contact" for Thunderbird. Also, for "Accessibility" in the MAC I checked Thunderbird. On Thunderbird, under the Address book I opened FILE and found that "Use Mac" was already checked. Then I opened the MAC OS X Address Book, and selected a few of the entries to edit. To my surprise, none of them had the email included and only showed the name. I suppose this is why addresses are not being entered automatically. I don't know how they got deleted. Maybe their in my CLOUD. I'll look for them. I have not tried using the other sites you offered in your follow-up message. Anyway, thanks for your assistance and I'd welcome your additional comments.
