when i try to open an attachment it only opens it in the photo gallery, how do i change that

when i receive a work email with attachements, it recently started with only opening them to the photo gallery when its an adobe attachement. how can i change how they open to?

is there a specific file type. Like the Microsoft proprietary one some system admins that do not know better enable on Microsoft exchange servers? These appear in the attachment list as winmail.dat files. regardless of the type of attachment mentioned in the body of the email.
