I have an old Win 7 laptop running Thunderbird (V64.04.0 32 Bit). I need to transfer emails and contacts to my new Win 10 with Thunderbird. I have tried to do this as from FAQ, eg 1) downloaded "importexporttools-3.3.0-sm+tb" which will not run nor can I find a way to activate it from T/B; 2) installed and restarted T/B with import / export add on "Thunderbook" but there is no visibility of how to start the export facility. Any advice on how to transfer emails and contacts in a simple manner would be appreciated

Chosen solution

The easiest way to transfer all your data between computers is to copy the Thunderbird folder:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer

The default location in Windows is:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird
