Starting from a new tab, I click on a website, and get to that website. When I select the back button, nothing appears to happen. If I right click the back button I see 3 or more copies of the same website on the list.

I get around this by; When I find a link I want to check out, I open it in a new tab/window. Then when I am done, I close it and am back where I started.

Yes, That works, but it should not be necessary. This behavior has started fairly recently. I can also always right click the back button. Again, that shouldn't be necessary. Thank you for your response

Is this happening on every site? (for instance on this support site?)

No, I Tried a number of sites, and it seems worst on www.techdirt.com and www.zdnet.com

It could be site related they where they prevent backspace. Since it only happens on certain sites then I would say it's the site and how they set the site restrictions.

Ok, I will try a different browser and see if it happens there

I went to the same websites using Microsoft Edge, and the described behavior did not occur. This is a firefox problem, not a website behavior
